Letter to the Editor: Zinke’s priorities

Susan Lake

Daily Inter Lake

There are many reasons to vote for Ryan Zinke. He believes in borders, he knows that this out of control spending by congress and the current administration has to stop, he knows killing fossil fuels is not the answer for the planet, he knows that girls should compete against girls in sports, he knows parents matter in education and he knows Montana.

He knows inflation with its high gas prices and high food prices is hardest on those that can least afford it and he knows we can’t afford this crazy increase in the cost of housing. My daughter just built a house. In the five months it took to build the mortgage interest doubled. The cost of building a house has also doubled. How is she going to afford that?

The current administration is out of touch and Congress is on a spending spree that won’t stop. While the price of gas eats more and more of our family check book his opponent thinks we are in a perfect place to kill fossil fuels. Ryan believes in a balanced all of the above energy strategy.

Sending a Democrat back to Washington D.C. is not the answer.

Vote Ryan Zinke.

Letter to the Editor: A plea to Libertarian voters

Ravalli Republic

I ask for those who may be considering voting for the Libertarian candidate John Lamb to consider the effect of a vote for a third party. Any one believing in the Constitution will surely harbor a dissenting opinion. I humbly ask that you lend me an ear.

I am sure that you agree that we need a strong southern border, a combat capable military, well trained and effective police, a balanced national budget, actual forest management, freedom of speech to include argument, schools teaching the basics of reading writing arithmetic and civics. This list could easily fill a page. Hey neighbor, i’m a Republican and want the same things!

The election for the new House of Representatives seat is critical to control of the Congress. Candidate Ryan Zinke may not be your choice; but he is the best choice with chance to win. We must win as the Democratic candidate will assuredly be against everything in my list above! I ask you, aren’t the differences between the Republicans and the Libertarians one of degree?

The percentage of Libertarian votes will enhance the chance of a Democratic victory. Are the internal issues between us so important that we loose it all? Politics has been said to be the art of the possible. A second description is the choice of evils. No party is perfect. Some are just thought to be better than others. I remember when a split in conservative ranks over candidate Ross Perot gave us President Clinton.

The Sunday, Oct. 23, Missoulian ran a great description of candidate John Lamb. You should be proud. But look out, as this is a chocolate cover on a poison pill. They want a Democrat to win and have written in a manner to encourage the continued split in conservative ranks. We must unite! We can argue like heck after we win and have some power. It’s all about power. Unfortunately, A protest vote is in effect a vote for the opponent.

Letter to the Editor: Zinke has proven accomplishments

Flathead Beacon, Ray Thompson & Verdell Jackson

Ryan Zinke is from Whitefish and has the background and determination to fight against the destruction of our country. On the football team in Whitefish, he was an outstanding leader fighting for his team. He became a Navy Seal Commander and was deployed all over the world to hunt war criminals and terrorists to keep us safe. Then he completed two terms as a Montana state senator. The senators respected him because he is highly intelligent and never rose to speak unless he had something very important to say. His background, knowledge and experience got him elected twice to the U.S. House of Representatives; then President Trump chose him for Secretary of the Interior. Zinke was now in a position to carry out his dream.  He increased forest management and wildfire prevention and restored multiple-use management to public lands. He expanded access for hunting and fishing on millions of acres of federal lands. Of great importance to us is that Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park received help from Zinke’s efforts when he helped develop the Great American Outdoors Act, which used federal energy revenues to reinvest in National Parks’ infrastructure. Environmentalists on the other hand were very unhappy with his work and constantly had him investigated. He was never found guilty of any wrongdoing, but this forced him to resign and return to Montana where he now wants to continue his work in Congress.

His priorities are to restore energy independence, close the border, complete construction of the wall, fix the supply chain, bring manufacturing and mineral production back, address the housing crisis and help repair the damage done to this country, which he has spent his entire life serving.

Letter to the editor: Todd supporter switches to Zinke

I supported Mary Todd in the primary. Here’s why I’m voting for Ryan Zinke.

I was a proud supporter of Mary Todd of the Montana GOP state Director. She is a true America-First patriot with a compelling story and the resolve to get things done.

I was proud to run her campaign and I count her as a dear friend.

Montanans did not select her this run to be the nominee for Congress. And with so much at stake this November, I’ll be giving my full support to Ryan Zinke.

Letter to the editor: Zinke loves our country

Post Photo

Daily Inter Lake

Vote for Ryan Zinke for U.S. House. Ryan is a Montana boy and a patriot through and through. Ryan grew up in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High in 1980. I graduated from Flathead High in 1979 and did not know Ryan at that time, but my mother did.

My mother taught at the Whitefish Junior High for 15 years (1969-1984). She told me that Ryan was one of her favorite students. When Ryan first ran for Montana House, my mother told me that in the 1970s one of the fun activities they taught at the Whitefish Junior High was a mock legislature. She told me Ryan was one of the stars of that mock legislature. Ryan participated with such passion that she wasn’t surprised that he ran and won the race for his first term in the U.S. House. Even at that young age in the 1970s, my mom told me that Ryan had a deep love for our country.

My mother was also proud of Ryan for his success as a Navy SEAL. She said she was not surprised that Ryan was so successful in his life because of his passion and ability to work hard for what he believed in and his love for our country. Prior to my mother passing away a few years ago, we ran into Ryan at the Kalispell Center Mall and Ryan gave her a big hug. They had a short chat about those good old days in the 1970s when she taught Ryan and there was such love for this great country.

Ryan loves this country and will make Montana proud in the U.S. House. Ryan will always protect and defend our constitution. Please join me in voting for Ryan Zinke for the U.S. House in the general election.

Letter to the editor: Zinke will lead with women, not against

Post Photo

Missoulian

I share a favorite photograph capturing why I am voting for Ryan Zinke. Montana will be well served by Zinke. Ryan visited my office to support me in a local race over my opponent, a male incumbent.

His wife Lola, a highly educated lawyer and self-sufficient woman, accompanied him. I figured she had the tougher job greeting strangers as a private non-candidate. Even so, she was engaging. So was Ryan. He assured us democracy was not dead. Americans will come together for the greater good. No grousing. As we all mingled, this photo captured in Ryan what I value — he leans into the woman he loves. He looks at her in the middle of a crowd and she engages him with mutual respect. She matters. Importantly, I am convinced that other women matter to Ryan Zinke too. I asked Ryan to oppose an absolute ban on abortion. Ryan agreed and committed that he is not aligned with those who seek a total ban on abortion. While neither of us think abortion is OK, criminalizing it absolutely is too harsh. Thank you, Ryan Zinke, for respecting the complexities of tough issue. Ryan Zinke will lead with women, not against.

Ryan Zinke tackles the Department of Miseducation, Inflation and pays respects to our Benghazi Heroes
307282245_611566383753186_6819625799306784583_n.jpeg
This week Ryan Zinke announced his plan on fixing the broken K-12 education system and it starts with protecting the parents and affirming parental rights in the classroom. In his new column in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Ryan points out that much of the issue of education lies within state and local hands, but there are things congress can do to ensure children are educated not indoctrinated and that includes:
  • National School choice so the funding follows the student regardless of the venue where they receive their education.
  • Dismantle the Department of Education and replace it with a downsized office under the Office of Management and Budget. The original intent of the department might have been noble but now it is a bureaucratic nightmare that has strayed too far from constitutional authorities.
  • Any school that receives federal funding should be required to adhere to a Parents’ Bill of Rights, where all parents have the right to see on-demand the assignments, reading material, lesson plans and even observe classes.
  • Teachers need resources. The vast majority of teachers want to teach free from forced woke agendas, politics, and checking identity boxes.
At the end of the day – we should have a right to what our children learn and Ryan Zinke plans on fighting for that right.

Inflation the Worst It’s Been in Half a Century!
In case you missed it – Ryan was spitting truths this week on Twitter as he broke down just how high inflation has been. The Biden White House is in full on spin mode trying to gaslight the American People into thinking the economy is great, inflation is down, and electric vehicles run on pixie dust. Anyone who bought groceries recently or filled up their truck knows that’s all a bunch of lies. They celebrated the so-called Inflation Reduction Act on the White House lawn the same day it was announced that inflation increased! Now is the time to get a Republican back in office!

Ryan Zinke strikes FEAR into the DC swamp with the “Federal Employee Accountability and Reduction Act”

This week, Ryan Zinke announced his first legislation: the Federal Employee Accountability and Reduction Act, a ten point plan to confront the entrenched bureaucracy of the DC swamp.

Ryan Zinke knows firsthand how powerful the DC Swamp can be. As Interior Secretary, Ryan Zinke was able to relocate parts of BLM out of DC and back to the areas that they actually manage. He proposed a budget which would cut wasteful spending and eliminate 4,000 federal employees from the Department of the Interior. Washington DC needs accountability and Ryan Zinke has the plan to bring it to them.

The ten point plan is as follows:

  1. Create a clear pathway to remove government employees for cause

  2. Cap the number of years a person can work for the federal government (non-military, non-law enforcement)

  3. Cap government salaries so no government employee, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, can make more than the President of the United States

  4. Eliminate preferred hiring practices for non-veteran government employees and eliminate expedited agency-to-agency hiring which allows managers to fill jobs with their unqualified friends

  5. Prevent political appointees from “burrowing in” to career government employee positions

  6. Require the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to electronically post salaries and titles of all political appointees every quarter

  7. Create a pathway to downsize the federal government through attrition, defunding, and repealing recent actions to expand the IRS and DOJ

  8. Create an automatic trigger law stripping current and former federal government employees of their benefits if they are convicted of violent or federal crimes or any crimes they are able to commit because of access to victims or information from their employment

  9. Require certain federal agencies to relocate out of the Washington, D.C. metro area and closer to the customers they serve

  10. Require the General Services Administration (GSA) to sell unused office buildings in certain oversaturated urban centers like Washington, DC, Denver and San Francisco

“I also know for a fact that the federal government is too big and unelected bureaucrats are too powerful. As a whole Washington, DC, is concerned with one thing above all else, how to keep its pet projects and special interest funding going. No more. This legislation would force the government to downsize via attrition and would defund and repeal recent expansions of the IRS, DOJ and other agencies.” – Ryan Zinke

Ryan on the Road

In Bozeman Ryan Zinke was joined by candidate for Senate District 34 Shelley Vance at the Bozeman Stampede. They had the chance to talk with voters and experience the opening night of one of Montana’s best celebrations of cowboy culture.

In Butte, Ryan had the pleasure of speaking with Montana Women in Mining and the Montana Society of Mining Engineers to speak about balancing conservation and resource extraction and the massive role that American mining plays in making sure we have access to the critical minerals we rely on.

In Columbia Falls, Tom, Carol, Joel and JoAnn hosted a great neighborhood meet & greet. More and more Montanans are ready to take back the House and fire Nancy Pelosi!

Zinke: Put the FEAR Into the Fed Bureaucracy

Post Photo

KBUL

Former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is looking to serve Montana in Congress once again, and his first piece of legislation is EXACTLY what is needed in this country. We have a federal bureaucracy that has run amok. They’ve run amok under Democrat presidents, and they’ve run amok under Republican presidents.

Earlier today, Zinke first broke the news on our “Montana Talks with Aaron Flint” statewide radio show that he is introducing the FEAR Act. According to Zinke’s campaign press release, “The 10-point Federal Employees Accountability and Reduction (FEAR) Act would put the fear of accountability in the hearts of bad actors and root out corrupt government employees, returning power to the people.”

Here’s what Zinke had to say on the radio Wednesday morning:

Ryan Zinke: The swamp oughta fear this because we need to get accountability back in to the swamp. I mean, you have Fauci, you had these guys that don’t work for anybody, and everyone should be accountable to somebody. Even the President of the United States is accountable to people. But when you have bureaucrats that are on their own agenda, they don’t bow to ‘We The People.’ They need to go, and we need to reduce our federal employee load. I mean, the first one on the chopping block is the 87,000 IRS troopers that are coming our way, and we need to eliminate that.

Zinke also talked about how the federal bureaucracy is “like tenured professors on steroids.” It’s too hard to fire the bad actors.

Zinke: What we’ve done over a period of time is we’ve created an elite class of bureaucrat that’s untouchable. And you look at the confidence the American people have with any branch, division, department of the United States government, and you ask a fundamental question- is there any branch, division, agency, department of the United States government that has the full faith and trust with people? And the answer is no. We have to return to accountability, transparency, and reduce the load of bureaucracy”.

On Liz Cheney’s big loss in the Wyoming GOP primary election:

Zinke: We ride with the brand, right. And there’s a lot of diversity of thought in the brand, and we’re not monolithic. But when your sole purpose is to shoot in, and you do more harm to the brand riding with it then you do not, you just need to be carved out of the herd. So I don’t hate Liz Cheney, but she’s not a Republican. She hasn’t been a Republican in a while and she’s not served Wyoming. Her sole focus was to take down President Trump., How does that benefit the great State of Wyoming? It doesn’t, and the voters of Wyoming made the right decision- get her out.
