Letter to the Editor: Zinke’s priorities

Susan Lake

Daily Inter Lake

There are many reasons to vote for Ryan Zinke. He believes in borders, he knows that this out of control spending by congress and the current administration has to stop, he knows killing fossil fuels is not the answer for the planet, he knows that girls should compete against girls in sports, he knows parents matter in education and he knows Montana.

He knows inflation with its high gas prices and high food prices is hardest on those that can least afford it and he knows we can’t afford this crazy increase in the cost of housing. My daughter just built a house. In the five months it took to build the mortgage interest doubled. The cost of building a house has also doubled. How is she going to afford that?

The current administration is out of touch and Congress is on a spending spree that won’t stop. While the price of gas eats more and more of our family check book his opponent thinks we are in a perfect place to kill fossil fuels. Ryan believes in a balanced all of the above energy strategy.

Sending a Democrat back to Washington D.C. is not the answer.

Vote Ryan Zinke.

Letter to the Editor: Tranel the only liar in western congressional race

Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Val Gould

At the debates between Monica Tranel and Ryan Zinke, we were told by Monica Tranel to “read the reports” when it came to Ryan Zinke’s investigations. So, as a concerned voter who wants to know the truth, I did. And let me tell you: Ryan was right. In both reports, the word “lie” or “lied” never once came up.

So what is Monica’s real strategy? Does she think voters are too lazy to actually fact check her? Ryan served both Montana and our country honorably. From day one in the Trump administration, Ryan faced political and biased attacks from all sides. He faced attacks and baseless lawsuits from the same radical environmental groups propping up in Monica’s campaign.

I read the reports, and the conclusion is clear: the only liar in this race is Monica Tranel.

Letter to the Editor: A plea to Libertarian voters

Ravalli Republic

I ask for those who may be considering voting for the Libertarian candidate John Lamb to consider the effect of a vote for a third party. Any one believing in the Constitution will surely harbor a dissenting opinion. I humbly ask that you lend me an ear.

I am sure that you agree that we need a strong southern border, a combat capable military, well trained and effective police, a balanced national budget, actual forest management, freedom of speech to include argument, schools teaching the basics of reading writing arithmetic and civics. This list could easily fill a page. Hey neighbor, i’m a Republican and want the same things!

The election for the new House of Representatives seat is critical to control of the Congress. Candidate Ryan Zinke may not be your choice; but he is the best choice with chance to win. We must win as the Democratic candidate will assuredly be against everything in my list above! I ask you, aren’t the differences between the Republicans and the Libertarians one of degree?

The percentage of Libertarian votes will enhance the chance of a Democratic victory. Are the internal issues between us so important that we loose it all? Politics has been said to be the art of the possible. A second description is the choice of evils. No party is perfect. Some are just thought to be better than others. I remember when a split in conservative ranks over candidate Ross Perot gave us President Clinton.

The Sunday, Oct. 23, Missoulian ran a great description of candidate John Lamb. You should be proud. But look out, as this is a chocolate cover on a poison pill. They want a Democrat to win and have written in a manner to encourage the continued split in conservative ranks. We must unite! We can argue like heck after we win and have some power. It’s all about power. Unfortunately, A protest vote is in effect a vote for the opponent.

Cut Bank Pioneer Press: Zinke visits Glacier County

Cut Bank Pioneer Press

Former Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Republican candidate for Montana’s new Western Congressional District seat, paid a visit to the local area Friday and Saturday as part of his campaign tour.

Zinke visited with Chief Judge Carl Pepion (right) and participated in a ride-along with Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services officers in Browning on Friday.

He was keynote speaker Saturday night at the annual Reagan Dinner hosted by the Glacier County GOP in Cut Bank.

Zinke will square off against Democrat Monica Tranel in the Nov. 8 general election for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Letter to the Editor: We need a warrior, not a lawyer

Lake County Leader

Larry and Dorothy Ashcroft

Are things better today than they were two years ago? Absolutely not.

Monica Tranel is a former Republican who worked on Conrad Burns’ staff in D.C.

Monica ran for the Montana Public Service Commission in 2004 and lost as a Republican.

Monica changed parties, ran for the PSC in 2020 and lost, again.

Monica was hired to get Richard Rigg’s (accused child rapist) guilty conviction overturned. She says it’s a lie but, if you’re interested, check out the website law.justia.com. She fully and openly denies this in her ad.

Monica is against short-term rentals in the state of Montana, i.e., AirBnB, yet owns up to $50,000 in AirBnB stock.

Monica claims to support gun owners’ rights but supports red flag laws and would end immunity for gun manufacturers.

Monica defends 350Montana and if you go to the website to investigate what they do, Zinke supporters are referred to as “racist” (typical).

We are subjected to uncreative, disgusting ads (snakes) and we are concerned with her using her daughters as props.

If Ryan Zinke wins the House seat, he comes in with seniority which could put him on the Appropriations Committee. With that, he would do everything in his power to defund many of the outrageous drains of taxpayers’ money.

A common strategy used by Liberals is to accuse Conservatives of various infractions and see what sticks. The accused, then, spends an inordinate amount of time and money defending themselves, making the process the punishment. Zinke had a multitude of accusations thrown at him but was found guilty of none and resigned anyway. Reminds us of accusations against General Michael Flynn, Judge Clarence Thomas, Judge Brett Kavanaugh … guilty until proven innocent.

Letter to the Editor: Montanans must unify, support Zinke for Congress

Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Ken Nass

In my 62 years, this year’s midterm elections may be the most important in my lifetime. Here in Montana, the consequences of having an unhinged Democrat represent us is dire. On one side, we have Monica Tranel, a radical environmental lawyer bent on destroying the oil and gas industry and spending your money like it’s got an expiration date. Who in Montana doesn’t believe Tranel will not be another go-along-to-get-along Democrat, in lockstep with the policies that have killed our economy and imposed radical ideology on our children? I’ll fast forward here; if you don’t see this behavior coming from Tranel, I suggest you skip the elections.

On the right side is Ryan Zinke, a Navy SEAL commander, former congressman and Interior secretary, and fifth generation Montanan. He’s represented Montana honorably and fought to protect our fundamental freedoms, where he’ll continue to do so when we send him to Congress.

You may have not supported him in the primary, and that’s okay. But now is the time to unify around Ryan Zinke. This election is too important not to.

Breitbart: Montana Libertarian, Democrat Candidates Coordinate to Spoil Ryan Zinke’s Campaign

Breitbart

Sean Moran

Montana congressional Libertarian candidate John Lamb and Democrat candidate Monica Tranel are coordinating their efforts to spoil Republican Ryan Zinke’s comeback campaign in the state’s first congressional district.

As a libertarian congressional candidate, one would think that Lamb would oppose Tranel, who, similar to most Democrats, generally support larger government than their Republican counterparts.

However, that is not the case in this congressional race.

Lamb admitted as a third-party candidate that faces an uphill climb to becoming a congressman; however, he said he does approve of the Democrat congressional candidate.

“I think she would do a great job if she was elected. So I’m not worried if she wins,” Lamb said of the Democrat candidate.

The libertarian candidate also said that he does not approve of Zinke, a former secretary of the Interior under the Donald Trump administration.

“I believe that he has a record of some things that he needs to address before he goes back into public office,” Lamb remarked.

A text that appeared to be from Big Sky Votes, a PAC that supports Tranel, shows that when a voter says that he or she does not plan to support Tranel, the PAC urges the voter to back Lamb.

“Hi Dikik! I’m w Big Sky Votes. Monica Tranel-mom, Olympian & Montanan-fights for us, unlike Zinke. Will you vote Monica 4 Congress? Text Stop2Quit.”

When a voter declines to support Tranel, the PAC replied, “John Lamb has been overlooked in this race, and we encourage you to consider him if you would prefer not to vote for Monica!”

Additionally, Lamb and Tranel have hosted town-hall-style debates without Zinke. The debates between the Democrat and Libertarian are rather polite compared to Lamb’s belligerent attacks toward Zinke.

Instead, Lamb has focused his attack more so towards Zinke, and even appears to agree on many issues that are typically aligned with Democrats.

Zinke’s campaign said that Lamb has repeatedly posted on his Facebook page that American service members do not fight for freedom and that veterans are the “sacred cow that must be turned into hamburger.”

The campaign also pointed to a Facebook repost from Lamb that shows a solider holding an American flag, which read, “Before you make fun of children for believing in Santa Claus, remember, there are still people who believe the U.S. Troops fight for freedom.”

Heather Swift, a spokesperson for Zinke’s campaign, described the comments Lamb shared as “vile.”

Lamb, in a comment mirroring many Democrats, said, “I think people should be able to move freely across the southern border. … There are too many federal laws restricting people going across the border.”

Although Zinke is expected to win the race, Lamb’s backing of Tranel and attacks against Zinke spoil many voters in favor of the Democrat.

Letter to the Editor: Zinke has proven accomplishments

Flathead Beacon, Ray Thompson & Verdell Jackson

Ryan Zinke is from Whitefish and has the background and determination to fight against the destruction of our country. On the football team in Whitefish, he was an outstanding leader fighting for his team. He became a Navy Seal Commander and was deployed all over the world to hunt war criminals and terrorists to keep us safe. Then he completed two terms as a Montana state senator. The senators respected him because he is highly intelligent and never rose to speak unless he had something very important to say. His background, knowledge and experience got him elected twice to the U.S. House of Representatives; then President Trump chose him for Secretary of the Interior. Zinke was now in a position to carry out his dream.  He increased forest management and wildfire prevention and restored multiple-use management to public lands. He expanded access for hunting and fishing on millions of acres of federal lands. Of great importance to us is that Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park received help from Zinke’s efforts when he helped develop the Great American Outdoors Act, which used federal energy revenues to reinvest in National Parks’ infrastructure. Environmentalists on the other hand were very unhappy with his work and constantly had him investigated. He was never found guilty of any wrongdoing, but this forced him to resign and return to Montana where he now wants to continue his work in Congress.

His priorities are to restore energy independence, close the border, complete construction of the wall, fix the supply chain, bring manufacturing and mineral production back, address the housing crisis and help repair the damage done to this country, which he has spent his entire life serving.

Letter to the Editor: Zinke understands parental rights in education

Montana Standard, Richard Sieminski

Reminder: the Biden Administration weaponized the Department of Justice against concerned parents, calling them “domestic terrorists” and attaching threat tags to them for protesting COVID mandates at their local school boards. And radical Monica Tranel is right on board.

Fortunately, Montanans have a candidate in Ryan Zinke who will stand up for parental rights in education. His parental bill of rights will ensure that parents have full transparency in their child’s education and that they’ll be free from woke indoctrination.

Montana children suffered exponentially from learning loss due to COVID mandates — Ryan Zinke will remove the power from federal bureaucrats who set our children back over the past two and a half years. I’m comforted knowing we have a candidate who will fight for parents.
